Folk at St Peter's - Knight and Spiers

A special one-off performance in 2016 by Peter Knight, legendary violinist (ex-member of folk-rock band Steeleye Span) and melodeon player and ex-Bellowhead member, John “Squeezy” Spiers, left audiences in awe and asking for more! They now tour as Knight and Spiers bringing two of the most genuinely gifted musicians in their respective fields. As part of their UK Tour they are coming to Kinver and St Peter’s to be precise!

The pairing of violin and melodeon is not a new one, but in the hands of Knight and Spiers, improvisation and invention meet the listener at every turn. Together they have created a musical document that resonates with history, but also something that should inspire future generations of musicians to engage with Britain’s folk heritage, and the beautiful, mysterious tunes that can be found within that heritage.

We are delighted to welcome them to St Peter’s Kinver. They make a sublime pairing, and create a live performance to be remembered.
